All Shook Up had its pre-Broadway try-out here in Chicago in 2004 and opened on Broadway in 2005. The show reimagines several of Shakespeare’s storylines (Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet, among others) set in small-town America in the mid-1950’s with all the songs that Elvis Presley made famous as its score.
